The Last Instruction Was, “Wait”…

A picture that clearly depicts my waiting…

“I was told to stay in my room and not step out until I was asked or instructed to.

It sounded easy until it no longer became easy. It was difficult. I am used to activity because it feeds my adrenaline and this took longer than I expected”.

This is what it feels like to Wait! The picture is different when you know or can see what or who you’re waiting for. Sometimes it makes the wait, worth it!

Yet, it’s a different design when God asks you to wait! There’s usually no idea what you’re waiting for or who you are waiting for. You remain in the room with so many questions hanging around your head.

“What am I supposed to do while I wait?”

“What are you saying, Father?”

“Maybe this is a delay and it’s my fault”

“How long is this going to be?”

For the time being of our wait, distraction seeps in like slow-flowing water. It takes moments, sometimes days, weeks, or even years to realize one has drowned in negative thoughts and beliefs because they tilted their focus for a few seconds. It starts with a few seconds. Ask Peter….

The negative impact often leads us to disobey the first instruction given. For the reason we leaned on our strength, we miss the entire term of Abba’s Pruning Program. Fortunately, by mercy, we repeat the term until we get it right.

But the essence of this piece wasn’t to tell that it’s easy or will ever be. There’s always going to be a new level of difficulty that we will always handle as His children.

Abba has had me wait for a couple of months now. I only recently understood in a fresher dimension that the fire doesn’t consume you when He’s the fourth man in it. We are never alone. We only need to be conscious that He is with us!

When He says wait, He wants you to unlock a level of trust and dependency needed for your next phase.

When He says wait, He wants to chastise you. Build your character and spirit to bear the weight of your next phase.

When He says wait, He is turning the hearts of Kings for your sake and working ALL things out for your good.

When He says wait, He is renewing your strength so you can soar and rise to His glory as the eagles rise towards the sun.

It is important that we marinate ourselves on Thanksgiving. Make prayer your lifestyle. Meticulously observe the good things that happen around you while you wait. Count ALL the blessings. That way you’ll be more focused on the fact that He didn’t leave you in the room alone. His Spirit is with you. Engage with Him more. Listen because He is always speaking. Pour yourself to Him. Say things you’ve never said to Him and listen to His response. Be intimate with Him. Consume His word like a thirsty soul. Exercise your faith. Act on the instructions you’ve received.

Never doubt Abba’s mighty power to work in you and do all He promised. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest requests, and your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imaginations. He will outdo them according to the miraculous power that works and energizes you! [Ephesians 3:20 TPT]
